Humanitarian Academy for Development (HAD)

Overview

The Humanitarian Academy for Development (HAD) is an international non-governmental organisation dedicated to enhancing the effectiveness of humanitarian and development efforts worldwide. Established in 2013 as the learning and development arm of Islamic Relief, HAD has since evolved into a leading global academy, providing training, consultancy, and talent development services to organisations and individuals operating in complex and crisis-affected contexts.

HAD's core mission is to strengthen the capacity of civil society organisations (CSOs) and local non-governmental organisations (NGOs) by offering tailored learning programmes that address the unique challenges faced by humanitarian practitioners. Their training courses cover a wide range of topics, including leadership and management, project management, humanitarian skills, and personal effectiveness. These programmes are designed to equip participants with the necessary skills to deliver aid effectively and ethically.
