Imam Sadr Foundation
Overview
The Imam Sadr Foundation (ISF) is a Lebanese non-profit, non-governmental organization established in the early 1960s by Imam Musa Sadr, with its main branch in Tyre, South Lebanon. The Foundation works to promote social justice and support vulnerable communities, particularly through education, healthcare, child protection, women’s empowerment, and local development.
Its programs include childcare and education, vocational and nursing training, healthcare and mobile clinics, specialized intervention for children, and social assistance for orphans and vulnerable families. A major focus of its work is women’s social and economic empowerment, including vocational training and income-generating activities. The Foundation primarily serves underserved communities in southern Lebanon and remote villages and also undertakes relief and development activities during emergencies.
