Institut de Recherches et d`Applications des Méthodes de Développement (IRAM) is a commercial consultancy firm that provides international cooperation services and expertise in numerous aspects of rural and local development in the North and South. It entered the field of international cooperation in 1957 and has since undertaken numerous actions to support sustainable human development and reduce social inequalities.
Iram carries out its actions in some forty countries of intervention — Africa, Latin, and Central America, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Oceania — around four priority issues:
- Reduced vulnerability to hazards.
- Strengthening the capacities of local and national organizations to influence public policies.
- The re-appropriation of the development of territories by their actors.
- Training and socio-professional integration of young rural people.
