Interdisciplinary Research Consultants (id:rc)
Overview
The id:rc started to provide consulting services in areas mainly related to engineering in 2001. Those included water resources studies, transportation and traffic management studies, and environmental management studies. However, over the years, it has expanded and diversified its services to include social and socio-economic studies, feasibility studies, in addition to consulting services in the areas of economic development, public sector and state enterprise reform, private sector development, and project development and implementation. Since its incorporation, the (id:rc-US) has provided services to the US Government in the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
In 2012, and after nine years of operating in Iraq in a number of sectors, the id:rc incorporated a branch office in Iraq. It currently has a fully staffed and equipped office in Basra that oversees all of their activities in the various parts of Iraq. The id:rc’s general approach to management consulting services entails working closely with clients and stakeholders to clearly identify their service needs. This phase usually entails data gathering and assessments such as institutional assessments, training needs assessments, and process mapping at all levels within any organization to ensure a comprehensive bottom-up approach.
