ITPC MENA

Overview

The International Treatment Preparedness Coalition in the Middle East and North Africa (ITPC-MENA) is a regional non-governmental organization based in Marrakesh, Morocco, dedicated to ensuring optimal access to HIV treatment and related healthcare services across the MENA region. ITPC-MENA is part of the global ITPC network, which advocates for universal access to HIV treatment as a fundamental human right. ITPC-MENA engages in advocacy and capacity-building efforts, strengthening civil society and community-based organizations to push for the inclusion of community, rights, and gender-related interventions in HIV, tuberculosis (TB), and malaria programs. It also implements community-led monitoring to gather data on the quality and coverage of healthcare services, ensuring they meet international standards. Additionally, the organization actively advocates for fair intellectual property laws to facilitate access to affordable medicines.
