Jouzour Loubnan

Overview

Jouzour Loubnan is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring Lebanon’s natural ecosystems through sustainable environmental practices. Its mission focuses on rehabilitating degraded woodlands and agricultural lands by implementing reforestation and agroforestry approaches that are ecologically sound and adapted to local conditions. To achieve this, the organization pursues two main sets of goals: first, to develop sustainable forests by restoring degraded ecosystems, promoting agroforestry and urban forestry, and advancing research and best practices in forestry; and second, to actively engage society by raising awareness about biodiversity, involving local communities in forest protection and management, and encouraging public participation—including the Lebanese diaspora—in reforestation efforts.
