Overview

KADEM, also known as the Women and Democracy Foundation (KADEM), is a Turkish non-governmental and non-profit organization founded on March 8, 2013, International Women’s Day. The organization works to promote women’s rights, gender justice, and social participation through advocacy, research, education, and civil society initiatives. KADEM operates with the principle of “equality in existence, justice in responsibility,” aiming to build a safe and fair society where women can live with dignity and actively contribute to social, economic, cultural, and political life.
