Marshall Legacy Institute
Overview
The Marshall Legacy Institute (MLI) is a U.S.-based nonprofit humanitarian organization founded in 1997 to extend the legacy of Nobel Peace Laureate George C. Marshall by addressing the enduring humanitarian effects of conflict. At its core, MLI works to alleviate suffering, restore hope, and foster long-term stability in countries affected by war, with a particular focus on the ongoing global landmine crisis.
MLI’s mission is centered on removing the hidden threats of landmines and unexploded ordnance that continue to endanger lives long after conflicts end. To do this, the organization develops and implements practical, sustainable programs that empower local communities and build their capacity for self-sufficiency.
