Overview
The Max Weber Foundation (MWS) is a public law foundation based in Bonn. It is independent in its scientific work and is under the legal supervision of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
The governing body of the foundation is the foundation council. On his behalf, the managing director conducts the foundation's business unless they are to be carried out by another body. He / She heads the joint office that carries out overarching tasks and represents the institute's administration vis-à-vis the authorities in Germany. Administrative matters are handled on site by the institutes.
