Menafem movement
Overview
MENAFem envisions a new global economic system based on intersectional feminist principles, human rights, and ecological justice driven by the needs of communities and the marginalized, in particular in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and beyond. Their mission is to confront poverty, deprivation, inequalities and lack of substantive democratic rights by empowering communities and vulnerable groups to resist all forms of injustices and inequalities through the provision of jointly=developed tools, support and strategies. This includes enabling their participation in the creation of fair, human rights-centred alternative policies, fostering linkages and cooperation with broader African and global movements and influencing decision-making processes related to debt management, development financing, and climate justice.
