National Association for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Lebanon
Overview
The National Association for the Rights of of Persons with Disabilities was established in Lebanon in 1988, at the initiative of a group of pioneering persons with disabilities, who in 1987 organized the historic event, the Nonviolent March of the Disabled for Peace and Human Rights in Lebanon. The association's goals are summarized in defending the rights of persons with disabilities in Lebanon and the Arab world, ensuring the participation of persons with disabilities in all decisions concerned with their affairs and establishing a center for research and information on disability in Lebanon and the Arab world.
