National Microfinance Bank (NMB)
Overview
A Jordanian MFI registered as a private shareholding company and authorized by the Central Bank of Jordan to provide financial service for the targeted segments according to the best international practices in the microfinance industry. NMB provides its services to more than 90,000 active clients through a net of 34 branches all over the kingdom.
NMB or Alwatani provides small loans and financial services in low-income sectors of society and helps its beneficiaries use those resources to save money, create new enterprises and escape from poverty. It aims to provide financing to small-sized projects to eliminate poverty and unemployment by increasing the productivity of owners of startups. Through its services and support, the NMB aspires to enhance the living standards of owners of such projects and spread the culture of micro credit and entrepreneurship in the society.
