Nuba Women for Education and Development Association (NuWEDA)
Overview
Nuba Women for Education and Development Association (NuWEDA) is a non-profit, non-partisan national society working in the field of education and development, economic, social and political empowerment, which also promotes the reproductive health and school health program, the development of leadership capacities of young people, the promotion of the principle of self-confidence for adolescent girls, the education of children and the provision of humanitarian assistance. The NuWEDA Association was launched as an idea in 1997 by women activist from conflict and war zones of Southern Kordofan.
