Oxfam Ireland

Overview

Oxfam Ireland is one of 21 Oxfams working together in 86 countries across the world. People living in poverty are hardest hit by conflict, disaster, hunger, sickness and the climate crisis.

The root cause of poverty is inequality - but it doesn’t have to be this way. They speak out against the inequalities that keep people poor, including unfair tax rules, the unequal distribution of wealth, discrimination against women and girls and how the worst impacts of the climate crisis are felt by the people least responsible for causing it. They ensure that the voices of people hardest hit by poverty and injustice are heard.

At Oxfam Ireland, There are four priority goals mean that they stand for a just economy, gender justice, climate justice and accountable governance.
They call for a lasting ceasefire and peace in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and an end to the death and injury of innocent civilians
