Overview

The Palestinian Environmental Friends Association (PEF) is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization established in 1998 by Palestinian experts. Its mission is to enhance the environmental conditions in the Palestinian territories by safeguarding local environments and natural resources from pollution and depletion. PEF provides services across various environmental sectors without discrimination, aiming for sustainable and well-managed natural resources. PEF's activities encompass several key areas, including wastewater treatment and reuse, sludge treatment and reuse, solid waste management, water quality management, water conservation, and air pollution control. The association engages in research and studies, training and education, demonstration projects, public awareness campaigns, workshops and seminars, and consultancy services.
