Palestinian Environmental NGOs Network (PENGON)
Overview
The Palestinian Environmental NGOs Network (PENGON), also known as Friends of the Earth Palestine, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 1996 to coordinate the efforts of various Palestinian environmental NGOs across the West Bank and Gaza Strip. PENGON serves as a unifying platform for member organizations addressing a broad spectrum of environmental issues, including land defense, sustainable agriculture, water conservation, biodiversity, public health, and cultural heritage preservation. Its mission is to promote sustainable environmental protection and development within the Palestinian context and on a global scale.
