Overview
Polis is the media and journalism think-tank of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), operating within its Department of Media and Communications. It aims to provide a forum for public debate and policy intervention on key issues in journalism, while producing high-quality research on how media and communication affect society. Polis engages with journalists, media technologists, students, and policymakers worldwide through research publications, public events, training programs, and innovation initiatives. While Polis manages funding for specific projects, it does not implement journalism operations itself; its role is primarily to facilitate research, training, and innovation.
