Rabat Social Studies Institute (RSSI)

Overview

The Rabat Social Studies Institute (RSSI) is an independent Moroccan think tank established in 2011 by a group of multidisciplinary researchers under the leadership of the late Driss Benali. Serving as a center for reflection, action research, and expertise, RSSI's primary mission is to produce scientific analyses that inform public decision-making, operating within a framework of public interest. The institute strives to facilitate exchange and interaction among researchers, policymakers, opinion leaders, and civil society representatives.The institute's vision centers on generating knowledge about society and the state from a public interest perspective, relying on independent analyses to identify challenges and potential solutions. RSSI's missions include conducting in-depth research on political, economic, and social issues pertinent to Morocco's development; raising awareness and building connections among decision-makers, researchers, and civil society through events and publications; and formulating recommendations to assist policymakers in crafting effective policies.
