Overview

Changing cultural attitudes about women through Cinema for Shashat believes that women’s access to self-expression, creativity and decision-making in the cultural field are essential components of democratic development promoting equity, growth and dignity for all citizens, men and women alike. Shashat also aims at building the capacity of young women filmmakers through training, mentoring, production support and exhibition so that they are producers of Palestinian culture and not only consumers of it.
