Overview
The Solidarity Center is the largest international organization for the defense of workers rights, based in the United States. Its programs are based on principle that, by exercising their right to freedom of association and forming trade unions and democratic organizations for the defense of workers' rights, workers can collectively improve their workplaces, asking governments to uphold laws and protect human rights, and be a force for democracy, social justice and economic development inclusive. Its programs in more than 60 countries focus on raising awareness human and workers rights, trade union skills, security and occupational health, gender equality, migration and human trafficking and pro-legal strategies, as well as support for workers in an economy of more and more informal.
