Sustainable Development Foundation (SDF)

Overview

The Sustainable Development Foundation (SDF), as presented on sdf-yemen.org, is a Yemeni non-governmental, independent humanitarian and development organization founded in 2015 and officially registered with Yemen’s Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour. Its mission is to deliver sustainable, high-quality humanitarian assistance to vulnerable populations across Yemen using a rights-based approach, focusing on long-term development as well as emergency response. SDF works across multiple sectors including protection, health, education, water and sanitation (WASH), shelter, food security and livelihoods, aiming to improve living conditions, support basic services, empower youth and women, and build community resilience. It has multiple offices and programmes throughout several governorates and has strong partnerships with international bodies such as UN agencies, and it has received recognition and certification for its commitment to humanitarian standards and impact.
