swisspeace
Overview
Swisspeace is a Swiss peace research institute and practice center headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, working globally to support the prevention and transformation of violent conflicts. It engages in applied research, policy advice, training, and project implementation in areas such as peace mediation, dealing with the past, business and peace, and peace education. While not maintaining permanent programs in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), swisspeace has contributed to regional initiatives, including peace education for Syrian refugees in Jordan and dialogue projects related to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. Through its KOFF Peacebuilding Platform, it partners with Swiss and international NGOs, foundations, government agencies, and academic institutions, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange to strengthen peacebuilding efforts worldwide.
