Terre de Vie

Overview

Terre de Vie is a French non-governmental organization (association loi 1901), founded in 1976 in Loire-Atlantique, dedicated to protecting vulnerable children worldwide, regardless of political, religious, ethnic, or social distinctions. It supports children affected by extreme poverty, hunger, disability, malnutrition, trafficking, forced marriage, and family breakdown, working in countries across Africa (e.g., Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal, Togo), Latin America (such as Peru and Honduras), Asia (Bangladesh, Sri Lanka), the Middle East (notably Lebanon), and in Europe.

Rather than directly managing projects, Terre de Vie partners with local organizations and grassroots initiatives, providing financial and operational support while respecting local leadership and cultural context. Its approach emphasizes simplicity, solidarity, and co-responsibility, leveraging modest resources and strong local participation to foster sustainable development.
