Thaki

Overview

Thaki is a nonprofit organization founded in 2015, dedicated to empowering refugee and vulnerable children in the Middle East through digital education. Headquartered in Amsterdam and registered in both the Netherlands and Lebanon, Thaki operates primarily in Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt. The organization adopts a circular economy model by collecting gently used laptops from corporations and institutions, refurbishing them, and loading them with multilingual educational content accessible offline. This approach addresses the challenges of limited internet connectivity in underserved regions . The educational materials are primarily in Arabic, with additional resources in English and French, covering subjects like math, science, literacy, and digital skills.
