Overview

The British University in Egypt (BUE) is a private, non-profit university located in El Sherouk City, Cairo Governorate, Egypt. Established in 2005 through cooperation between the Egyptian and UK governments, the university was created to provide a British-style higher education experience while addressing the needs of the Egyptian and regional labor markets. BUE offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs across a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, dentistry, pharmacy, business administration, economics, political science, informatics and computer science, nursing, law, media and communication, arts and design, and energy and environmental engineering.
