The Knowledge Workshop
Overview
The Knowledge Workshop (KW) is a feminist organization based in Lebanon, established in August 2015 by co-founders Sara Abu Ghazal and Deema Kaedbey. KW envisions vibrant communities where bodies, knowledge, and lands are liberated, allowing individuals to freely remember their dreams and histories. Their mission focuses on fostering collaborative processes across movements, communities, and generations to learn, document, imagine, and narrate stories and histories. This approach aims to build knowledge and relationships grounded in shared experiences and aspirations for liberatory possibilities.
KW's primary initiatives include the Storytellers Project, Publications & Resources, and the Feminist Library. These projects engage with women's struggles within their communities in Lebanon, integrating community organizing with research, storytelling, teaching, and learning.
