Overview
The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) is a public economic organization in Egypt, operating under the supervision of the Minister for Planning and Economic Development. Established to support Egypt's Vision 2030, NIGSD focuses on promoting governance and sustainable development through research, training, and consultancy services. The institute is responsible for monitoring and enhancing Egypt's national and international standings in areas such as governance, competitiveness, and sustainable development. In 2023, NIGSD expanded its training programs to African countries, conducted initiatives like the "Be an Ambassador" program, and collaborated with institutions such as the American University in Cairo to empower women leaders. Additionally, NIGSD launched the Egypt Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation to support entrepreneurial activities. The institute's efforts contribute significantly to building human capital and fostering sustainable development practices in alignment with national strategic priorities.
