The Palestinian Employment Fund (PEF)
Overview
The Palestinian Fund for Employment and Social Protection is the national umbrella for employment and the executive arm of national employment policies and the policies of the Ministry of Labor in the field of employment, It was established in 2003 with the role of combating poverty and unemployment by creating job opportunities for the unemployed, supporting small and entrepreneurial projects, and securing specialized assistance in order to enable small and entrepreneurial projects for individuals, families, and poor and low-income groups and those who are unemployed and productive. The fund also develops special plans for response and emergency interventions to crises resulting from political, economic, and health conditions.
