Tony Blair Institute for Global Change
Overview
The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) is a non-profit organization established in 2016 by former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair. Headquartered in London, with offices across Brussels and other regional hubs, TBI employs around 900 staff and partners with governments in over 40 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. Its mission is to support political leaders and governments in implementing bold policy ideas and delivering real-world results through strategy, policy design, digital transformation, and governance reform.
The Institute works by embedding expert advisory teams within governments to help design and deliver reforms in areas such as economic development, education, health care, and digital infrastructure. Technology plays a central role in TBI’s approach, whether through the implementation of digital identity systems, modern data management, or artificial intelligence governance.
