Overview
Union de l’action Féminine (UAF) is a non-governmental organization with consultative status with ECOSOC (UN)
The main objectives / missions:
- Promotion of Human Rights of Women.
- The abolition of all forms of discrimination against women.
- Harmonization of national laws with international standards, notably CEDAW and the repeal of all discriminatory laws.
- The fight against all forms of violence against women.
- The establishment of mechanisms to protect and promote the rights of women.
- The effective participation of women in decision-making processes and the guarantee of their full citizenship.
- The taking into account of the “gender” dimension in public policies for a real integration of women in development and the fight against poverty.
