Union to Union
Overview
Union to Union is the Swedish trade union movement’s organisation for international development cooperation. They work for decent work, democracy, equality, a fair distribution of resources, reduced poverty and sustainable development. To create a decent life for all, they promote human rights at work and support the creation and the strengthening of unions. Through Union to Union, the Swedish trade union movement runs a hundred projects worldwide. Most projects are done in collaboration with the global unions that have affiliates all over the world and know where the money is most beneficial.
They inform, engage and put pressure on decision makers to make decisions that improve respect for human rights in countries with widespread poverty. Together with the Swedish unions, Union to Union runs campaigns, arranges seminars, produces reports and writes debate and opinion articles on their questions. In addition, they take all chances they can meet decision makers to lift union development cooperation and explain their view of the importance of their decision.
