Vento di Terra
Overview
Vento di Terra Ong is an independent, non-partisan and non-profit organization. It was founded in 2006, then the support network expanded in Italy with the adhesion of a dozen local authorities from the provinces of Milan and Cremona and widespread awareness campaigns spreading among the communities involved in Italy.
Vento di Terra has managed to launch projects in different areas from Italy, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Haiti, Mozambique, and Afghanistan. their mission is to promote human rights and provide assistance and protection to vulnerable people affected by crisis. they work in marginalized areas which is directly or indirectly affected by conflicts, and provide integrated system of protection and social inclusion for vulnerable women and minors.
The organization has been present in the Gaza Strip with educational interventions and female empowerment towards local Bedouin communities since 2010, and since 2013 it has been present in Afghanistan, with a female micro-entrepreneurship project, and in Jordan, with interventions to support Syrian refugees in informal camps. In 2017 the association has also opened an operational office in Albania, with a project for territorial development and responsible tourism in the municipality of Divjake.
