Wafaa Association for Women’s Legal Services
Overview
Wafaa Association for Women’s Legal Services was launched from Riyadh, as one of the first associations specializing in the legal field for women. It was established in 1441 AH, corresponding to 2020 AD, with an ambitious vision aimed at empowering women legally and promoting their rights in Saudi society, in light of the great national movement that the Kingdom is witnessing in the field of social justice, and empowering the most needy groups, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The association was established in response to a real societal need, identified through practical experiences and field studies, which revealed a significant gap faced by women – especially in family matters – related to the difficulty of accessing legal information and the limited ability to obtain reliable judicial services, which affects family stability, quality of life, and the speed of enforcing rights.
