Women in News (WIN) is a global programme, established in 2010 by WAN-IFRA, with a mission to promote gender equality, inclusion, and diversity within the media industry. Operating in over 30 countries across Africa, Southeast Asia, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Arab Region, WIN partners with media organisations, industry leaders, and journalists to foster more inclusive newsrooms, content, and leadership. WIN emphasizes that inclusive institutions—be they newsrooms or boardrooms—and more representative content are essential to creating a healthier, more sustainable media environment.
