Yemen Microfinance Network (YMN)

Overview

The Yemen Network for Microfinance is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that was established in August 2010 with joint efforts from the Social Fund for Development (SFD) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to form a national federation that includes in its membership more than 90% of microfinance banks, institutions and programs operating in Yemen, and being a membership-based institution It aims to serve its member institutions. Its field of work is focused on training, capacity building, information exchange, transparency, research, studies, advocacy, promotion of the sector, and encouragement of entrepreneur

The network constitutes a unified platform for microfinance institutions to work, grow, develop their financial services, and increase the geographical spread of these services, which target a large segment of society in Yemen, including productive families with limited income and owners of small and micro projects, women and men
