Young feminist Fund
Overview
The Young Feminist Fund (FRIDA) is a young feminist-led initiative that funds and strengthens the participation and leadership of young feminist activists globally. FRIDA was created to bring new resources and opportunities to young women and transgender youth globally. We believe that supporting young feminists is key to the expansion, rejuvenation and sustainability of women’s movements and organizations.
FRIDA uses a participatory grant-making process that puts decision-making in the hands of young feminists themselves. Through this model, we seek to change power and relationships in philanthropy. To date, FRIDA has completed five grant cycles, and cumulatively supported 150 different groups of young feminists in over 80 different countries around the world, awarding 1.3 million USD in direct grants.
