The situation in Lebanon continues to worsen as the region suffers from an ongoing humanitarian crisis. With over 1 million people displaced, the population is placing extreme pressure on an already limited amount of available housing, with many now living in full shelters.

Also the increasing pressures being placed on the available basic services, such as electricity, water, and sanitary systems, the overall situation will continue to deteriorate and living conditions for both those displaced and host communities will become more difficult.

Additionally, the host communities continue to experience increasing social tensions as a result of the influx of displaced populations into those communities. This has led to frustration among the hosts as they are faced with pressure from the large number of persons displaced.

In addition to the pressure put on the availability of housing or living facilities for both those displaced and host communities, the trust beginning to decrease in local government through both increased insecurity and misinformation about how quickly and fairly local governments are responding to the needs of the populations.
