The Aid Fund for Syria has launched its fourth funding allocation to support humanitarian and recovery efforts across the country. The initiative is aligned with Syria's 2026 humanitarian response plan and is going to target the areas that have the biggest needs.

The funding will assist loads of different sectors, such as healthcare, education, water/sanitation, protection services, and support for local communities with rebuilding after disaster strikes. The funding is used to allow communities to meet both emergency and longer-term recovery needs.

The fund will also focus on local leadership. 100 percent of the funds will be distributed to Syrian national organizations that qualify and assist in the furthering of local humanitarian efforts and developing community-led responses.

The initiative will also support community-based, women-led, and youth-led organizations through a special partnership model. Fund managers say the approach is created and shaped to make humanitarian assistance more sustainable and responsive to local needs.
