Emergency Humanitarian Mine Action Response

Emergency Humanitarian Mine Action response in Sudan offers mine risk education and victim assistance, as mine accidents often take place out of lack of knowledge. UNMAS in collaboration with UNOPS provides risk education especially to populations living with the threat of explosives, and humanitarian workers.They also supports victims of landmines or explosive remnants of war through provision of socioeconomic and psychological assistance,and uses the Information Management System for Mine Action as a tool to register the victims.
