The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, also known as KSrelief, signed a new agreement with the United Nations Development Programme to help rural women in Syria. The project is called the "Bathraa" initiative. It will directly help five hundred twenty people and indirectly help more than two hundred eighty-four thousand others.
The agreement was signed by the leaders of both organizations at the headquarters of the centre in Riyadh. The main purpose of the program is to empower women in the countryside to generate their own income and help their families.
The program will upgrade local workplaces and provide them with food processing equipment, composting systems, and power installations. These centres will offer women safe work environments and provide them with a chance to learn new skills.
Women will also receive training in business, leadership, and practical work skills. The initiative will give them the tools and equipment they need to start their own small businesses. This work is part of Saudi Arabia's larger effort to help Syrian families improve their everyday living conditions
