FAO has reveiled its 2025–2027 “Emergency, Resilience and Development” plan, aiming to give about $260 million into Yemen. The Goal is to help 1.34 million households, which is around 9.4 million people, toget back on their feet and secure enough food to survive.

This three-year push stands on three main pillars. First, get urgent help to farming families who need it most, things like seeds, tools, livestock etcc. Second, bring Yemen’s agriculture and food systems back to life. And third, look further ahead: fix up infrastructure, manage resources better, and support farming methods that last, so people aren’t just surviving right now but have a shot at future food security.

The situation in Yemen really is tough. Millions are on the edge of starvation. Farming, raising animals, and fishing used to support most of the countryside; However, things such as war, a wrecked economy, water shortages, and climate disasters have torn all that apart.

If the money comes through, this plan can turn things around. It means less dependence on food aid, stronger rural economies, a real shot at getting agriculture moving again, and millions of Yemenis able to take care of themselves.
