Served as Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) of Libya, Director General, and currently the Chief Technical Advisor to the Chairman of the National Centre for Animal Health (NCAH). Proven track record in advising ministries, auditing international facilities (Spain, USA, China), and representing national interests at the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH).

  • A staunch champion of the "One Health" approach, successfully bridging the sectors of animal health, human safety, and environmental welfare. Expert in veterinary legislative reform, having drafted comprehensive animal health protection acts and modernized import/export mechanisms in collaboration with the African Union (AU-IBAR).

International Collaboration & Project Coordination

  • Demonstrated success as National Project Coordinator with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and as a technical expert for international bodies like the IAEA and Africa CDC. Experienced in managing multinational trust funds, driving cross-border disease surveillance, and managing multi-disciplinary teams in high-stakes environments.

Academic Excellence & Technical Acumen

  • Holds an MSc in Veterinary Public Health from the University of Glasgow, UK, and a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from Omar Al-Mukhtar University. Active in academia as an Assistant Lecturer , with published research focusing on zoonotic risk mitigation, epidemiology, and the socio-economic impacts of infectious diseases
