Integrated Solutions Leaving-behind Sustainable Legacies

Tuesday, June 13, 2023 – 3:00 pm (Egypt time)

Young people moving out of institutional homes face multiple challenges, particularly if after-care services are limited and where there is high social stigma. Wataneya has adopted a holistic and integrated approach that has successfully influenced more than 1,500 youth, care home leavers, under the age of 18 for self-reliance and integration through a combined use of technology, coordination with the government, and partnerships with the private sector. Wataneya was able to secure more than 50 partnerships with private sector donors, public sector implementing partners, and youth-led initiatives that have played a significant role in ensuring the sustainability of their project.

Through our webinar, you will learn more about how to adopt a holistic approach for a sustainable solution to integrate youth without parental care into society, which has been key to meaningful and effective implementation of our alternative care projects and initiatives.

  1. Learn about the challenges facing care leavers' self-reliance and socio-economic integration and the ways you can contribute to this much needed development work
  2. How to adopt a beneficiary-centered approach that empowers them, which we have used to bring in youth in developing prevention, hosting, and aftercare measures
  3. How to form trusted and diversified partnerships addressing development challenges, which we have used to address the challenges facing children and youth without parents
