German Embassy
Overview
The German Embassy supports small projects by providing financial and technical support for them to be able to start. The aim of this small grants programme is to provide local institutions and the local population with the means to activate their own potentials and thus to improve their situation themselves. The Embassy emphasizes on socio-economic multiplier-effects and capacity building.
The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development includes under it's German Federal Cooperation section, Official Development Assistance (ODA). The standard used to measure Germany's, and other donors', development funding is the ODA/GNI ratio. Such a program works on granting development aids to many countries within the MENA region as well as out of it.
