Dr. Mohamad Khaled Social Foundations

Overview

The Dr. Mohamad Khaled Social Foundations is a Lebanese non-governmental organization founded in 1958 by Dr. Muhammad Tawfiq Khaled. It is dedicated to serving vulnerable populations, including orphans, individuals with disabilities, and underprivileged families, through a range of educational, medical, and social services. Under the guidance of its supreme president, the Grand Mufti of the Republic of Lebanon, Sheikh Abd al-Latif Darian, the foundation operates key divisions such as a social services institution that provides education, vocational training, and welfare support, as well as a specialized medical rehabilitation hospital offering physical therapy, speech therapy, and prosthetic services, particularly for children with cerebral palsy and physical disabilities. In addition to these core services, the foundation engages in community outreach, public awareness initiatives, and capacity-building programs to promote social inclusion and development. Collaborating with international partners, such as the Government of Japan, has further strengthened its impact.
