Nurses for the World
Overview
Nurses for the World is a non-governmental development organization that was established in 1996, at the initiative of the General Nursing Council of Spain , and its purpose of contributing to human development from the world of health and mainly from nursing, with a attitude of respect towards the cultures and specific values of each community. The Objectives of Nurses for the World are: improve the situation of the marginalized sectors of Spanish society in order to achieve their proper integration, improve the living conditions and development possibilities of the inhabitants of the most impoverished countries, inform, raise awareness and educate society about the reality of impoverished countries and marginalized groups in Spanish society, and promote that the States carry out effective development cooperation policies, generating a more just social structure.
