UK Aid Direct

Overview

UK Aid Direct is a DFID challenge fund designed to support the UK’s commitments to achieving the Global Goals. UK Aid Direct has reached more than 3 million people, through 147 grants, across 31 countries .UK Aid Direct was established in 2014 as a successor to the Global Poverty Action Fund (GPAF), which was created in 2010.

The aim of UK Aid Direct is to support civil society to deliver solution to achieve sustained poverty reduction and achieve the Global Goals. UK Aid Direct focuses on reaching the most vulnerable and marginalized populations in particular girls and women to leave no one behind.UK aid Direct's mission goes on coherehence with the main objectives of the British Ministry of foreign affairs which are : strengthening global peace, security and governance, strengthening resilience and repose to crisis, promoting global prosperity and tackling extreme poverty and helping the world's most vulnerable.
