About
My name is Salma Sabri and I have been working for the past 23 years as Planning, Evaluation and Learning Advisor/Consultant for regional and bi-lateral programs financed by different organizations.
I started my career at the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in various capacities and served in different countries. In 2014, I started my consultancy career, mainly as Planning, Evaluation and Learning Consultant.
I have solid experience in conducting Mid-Term and Final evaluations in the thematic areas’ organizational development, good governance, sustainable development, green economy, migration and refugees and employment generation, with a varied clientele of international development agencies like GIZ, UN ESCWA, UNDSS, UNIDO, ILO, EU, AfDB, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, World Bank, Universalia and Egyptian NGOs. In the last fifteen years only, I have conducted and participated in 24 evaluations physically, remotely and semi-remotely (Syria, Palestine, Tunisia, Morocco, Yemen, Oman, Jordan, Sudan, Vienna, Egypt, Saudi Arabia etc.), out of which 12 I solely led.
In addition, I have conceptual and practical experience in designing and managing Results-Based Monitoring (RBM) in various countries (Syria, Germany, Egypt, Bangladesh, Ruanda, etc.) including experience in conducting trainings, and co-designing strategies and workplans for various organizations, in addition to projects (USAID, UNESCWA, GIZ, UNFPA). Last but not least, I am M.A. holder in proffessional development with special focus on ex-post evaluation.
